Anderson, L et.al., Indigenous and tribal peoples’ health (The Lancet–Lowitja Institute Global Collaboration): a population study, July 2016: The Lancet, Vol: 388, No: 10040; p131-157

This is a population based study using analysis of secondary data (life expectancy at birth, infant mortality, low and high birth weight, maternal mortality, nutritional status, educational attainment, and economic status) collected from collaborators with expertise in indigenous health systems in each country. It describes the health and social status of indigenous and tribal communities relative to benchmark populations from a sample of countries using various governmental and other data sources.
